Samsung Galaxy S8 is slimmer than predecessor so that you can operate the phone with a single hand. You can easily move your thumb to the other end of the phone while holding it in one hand. This innovative design that let you operate phone with single hand is one interesting feature.
We can expect such innovation with Galaxy S9 but this time with the processor. The South Koreans are said to be working with Qualcomm to make the processing speed of Galaxy S9 faster than before with its new chip. Samsung Galaxy S9 features and specification
As we are moving closer to the release of Galaxy S9, the rumors are getting stronger and stronger. Though there is no reliable source or the official announcement about the features and specification of Galaxy S9, the specs we are going to discuss should be somewhat true for upcoming Galaxy S9.
Design and display
Samsung Galaxy S9 will have curved edge design as predecessor S8 that will make it easier to operate. Speaking of CPU, as we discussed above, Samsung is working with Qualmcomm to produce a faster smartphone that wouldn’t lag even though you do several tasks at the same time. The current Galaxy models S8 & S8 + feature fast processor and Snapdragon 835 chip however the new Galaxy S9 will sport even faster octo-core processor and new Snapdragon 845 chip.

The most important thing which customers pay more attention to is the camera. Although Samsung Galaxy S series smartphone are already known for the best cameras yet the company seems to be further improving it to offer better photography experience to the customers. After Apple’s iPhone 7 Plus, it looks like every smartphone maker is upgrading its smartphone’s camera to dual-lens one.
The company like OnePlus also planning to feature dual-lens camera in its upcoming OnePlus 5. It forces South Korea based techie to incorporate dual-lens camera with Galaxy S9 as well. Samsung Galaxy S9 may sport 21 megapixel dual-lens primary camera and 12 megapixel selfie shooter. The camera will have features like flash, OIS, face detection, geo tagging etc.
The battery is most important competent of any smartphone and Samsung works hard to improve it everytime with releases of a new smartphone. There can be a massive upgrade with battery of Galaxy S9. It could have 4,000 mAh non-removable Li-ion battery as compared to 3,000 mAh in Galaxy S8!
Samsung Galaxy S9 Price – How much you will have to spend?
The specification and feature of Galaxy S9 really excite us but anything that comes with added advantages, are bit pricey as well. However, for the variety of features and specification Samsung offers in its smartphone, the price company sets is pretty much justifiable.
Moreover, the increased competition and the launch of feature packed smartphone from relatively young companies such as OnePlus, Xiaomi forces Samsung to price their smartphone accordingly. OnePlus 5 which will have 8 GB RAM, Gorilla Glass 5 protection, fast CPU may cost $550 something, hence Galaxy S9 should be priced after analysing such upcoming smartphones.
Based on our research, expected features and specification of Galaxy S9, it should cost between $750-$800 for the people living in United States.
Galaxy S9 release date – When Galaxy S9 is coming out?
Samsung gives us several clues about the release date of Galaxy S9 though the company hasn’t officially announced anything. One of the clues I’m talking about is the release cycle that South Korea company has adopted for release of new Galaxy S smartphone.
Since last few times, Samsung has been announcing new Galaxy S model smartphone in the month of March/April each year. I don’t see any good reason for doing away from this release cycle and predict Samsung is going to release Galaxy S9 again in same month next year.
|Phone Release Date||Samsung Galaxy S Model|
|Jun 2010||Galaxy S|
|May 2011||Galaxy S II|
|May 2012||Galaxy S III|
|April 2013||Galaxy S4|
|April 2014||Galaxy S5|
|April 2015||Galaxy S6/ S6 Edge|
|March 2016||Galaxy S7/ S7 Edge|
|March 2017||Galaxy S8/ S8+|
|March/April 2018||Galaxy S9/ S9+|
Moreover, the company is announcing Galaxy Note 8 phone as well in coming months that makes it a smart move for the company to release Galaxy S9 in March/April 2018 only.
Samsung will be releasing Galaxy S9 after one year of Galaxy S8/S8+ taking enough time to sell as much units of S8/ S8+ as possible.
Samsung Note 7 was a complete disaster for the company that hurt company’s image. The production of Note 7 had to be stopped and those handsets which were already circulated in the market were called back.
The company is said to be making a good come back with release of Galaxy Note 8 and this time the battery wouldn’t explode.
There will be several updated in coming months, so bookmark this page. Share this article with your friends on Facebook and Twitter.
